A  holistic human manual of ancient wisdom and knowledge for Emotional, Physical and Spiritual well-being.

        What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda, “the science of life”, longevity, is the holistic alternative science from India, which is more than 5000 years old. It is believed to be the oldest healing science in existence, forming the foundation of all others, often referred to as "Mother of all healing".

Ayurveda (pronounced Aa-yer-vay-da), ancient wisdom of healing and longevity, was considered  a part of the spiritual tradition of universal well-being. The methods used to find this knowledge of herbs, foods, aroma, gems, colors, yoga, mantras, lifestyle are fascinating and varied.

The main theme of Ayurveda is that people can adequately educate themselves to take control of their own health and well-being. This is achieved by monitoring and balancing one’s nutritional and lifestyle habits to heal, prevent illness and develop longevity.

Ayurveda teaches that you are your own best healer,

Ayurveda & Health

Ayurveda offers a path to optimal health and development for each individual through its profound understanding of natural patterns and cycles. Living with the cycles of nature maintains health, and a disconnection from those natural cycles leads to disease.

Going beyond symptoms to the root cause of the disease is where true healing begins. Understanding the language of nature allows us to balance the body, mind, and spirit so that we can live harmoniously. Ayurvedic practices restore holistic health resulting in self-healing, vitality, and longevity. The secrets of self-healing are waiting to be unlocked through the simple and practical art of ayurveda.

Ayurveda suggests true health is based on the healthy functioning of four areas of life; physical/mental health, career or life purpose, spiritual relationships, and spirituality

constitution or prakruti / (प्रकृति)

Our constitution or Prakriti is the ratio or interplay of the three doshas that we were born into. Our Prakriti is our true nature and will never change throughout our entire lifetime. Our Prakriti is derived from our unique combination of the three doshas. How predominant or passive each one is is what defines our constitution.

Knowledge of your constitution is a road map and is essential to developing optimal health. Your constitution determines how you react to various foods, environments, events and general life habits.
